Here we are on our 3rd anniversary and 8 years together, with every single day growing our love more than the last. I love you so much! You are my life Baby, always and forever. You really can live happily ever after...
![]() She sits thinking, waiting, wondering, anticipating... She turns and he is there. He looks at her with eyes that know she is his soul-mate, the one that makes his life worth living, the miracle that saved him in this life. She turns and smiles, her face lights the way as he anticipates her words, touch and company. He loves her already. She looks at him as he saunters across the street approaching her with a smile that could right any wrong, light any darkness, and diminish the worst pain. Her heart jumps and wonders is he the one? Are we finally together? Has the long road brought us together finally? She thinks, yes my soul-mate, my true love, he is here. They hug with a familiarity and warmth of the sun rising and setting in the sky. They turn, walk in hand, and hand to begin this life together forever... ![]() When Earth's last picture is painted and the tubes are twisted and dried, When the oldest colors have faded, and the youngest critic has died, We shall rest, and, faith, we shall need it -- lie down for an aeon or two, Till the Master of All Good Workmen shall put us to work anew. And those that were good shall be happy; they shall sit in a golden chair; They shall splash at a ten-league canvas with brushes of comets' hair. They shall find real saints to draw from -- Magdalene, Peter, and Paul; They shall work for an age at a sitting and never be tired at all! And only The Master shall praise us, and only The Master shall blame; And no one shall work for money, and no one shall work for fame, But each for the joy of the working, and each, in his separate star, Shall draw the Thing as he sees It for the God of Things as They are! By- Rudyard Kipling ![]() On this day we remember the people who suffered great losses, triumphed over unfathomable feats, and rose above such a terrible horror. We honor the heroes that gave of themselves unselfishly to help others overcome this terrible ordeal. Thank you to them all. There are no words to express how grateful we all are to them! We will never forget! ![]() Forgiveness is the exercise of compassion and is both a process and an attitude. In the process of forgiveness, we convert the suffering created by our own mistakes or as a result of being hurt by others into psychological and spiritual growth. Though the attitude of forgiveness we attain happiness and serenity by letting go of the ego's incessant need to judge ourselves and others. ~ Joan Borysenko When an emotional injury takes place, the body begins a process as natural as the healing of a physical wound. Let the process happen. Trust that nature will do the healing. Know that the pain will pass and, when it passes, you will be stronger, happier, more sensitive and aware. ~ Melba Colgrove Every day we do things, we are things that have to do with peace. If we are aware of our life..., our way of looking at things, we will know how to make peace right in the moment, we are alive. The practice of peace and reconciliation is one of the most vital and artistic of human actions. ~Thich Nhat Hanh “Keep in mind, hurting people often hurt other people as a result of their own pain. If somebody is rude and inconsiderate, you can almost be certain that they have some unresolved issues inside. They have some major problems, anger, resentment, or some heartache they are trying to cope with or overcome. The last thing they need is for you to make matters worse by responding angrily.” -Joel Olsteen “The willingness to forgive is a sign of spiritual and emotional maturity. It is one of the great virtues to which we all should aspire. Imagine a world filled with individuals willing both to apologize and to accept an apology. Is there any problem that could not be solved among people who possessed the humility and largeness of spirit and soul to do either -- or both -- when needed?” -Gordon B Hinckley ![]() With all that this world has to hold in it. We still want more; we take, abuse and use it. I try to understand why all of the hate, violence, negativity and evil. We say we are individuals, different cultures, beliefs and colors, but we are still all people. I wish for a miracle, but even though I pray, hope, and need. Nothing seems to happen, change or make a difference, so I write this creed. This world needs to heal its wounds, it's not just a want, but a necessity. We can't do this alone, there needs to be reciprocity! ![]() Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. ![]() Live, not for the world but with it. Love, all and all will be yours. Lift, your face to the sky, and let the universe kiss your cheek. Live, all you can all of the time. Laugh, and all will seem small. Leave, the hate behind, breathe deep and smell the scent of the peace within. Learn, by an open mind, will and truth, never loose sight of that curiosity of the child within. Listen, without bias, and you will treasure the sounds of the world. Lock, truth into your soul. Look, upon the beauty of the unknown, and do not be afraid. Live with Love, and it will Lift your soul. You can not Live if you cannot Laugh. Leave the fears behind, and Learn how to Listen, then Lock it within your soul, to Look upon forever. ![]() Who made the world? Who made the swan, and the black bear? Who made the grasshopper? This grasshopper, I mean-- the one who has flung herself out of the grass, the one who is eating sugar out of my hand, who is moving her jaws back and forth instead of up and down-- who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes. Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face. Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away. I don't know exactly what a prayer is. I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down into the grass, how to kneel in the grass, how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields, which is what I have been doing all day. Tell me, what else should I have done? Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon? Tell me, what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? ![]() The Native American Indian Ten Commandments Treat the Earth and all that dwell therein with respect Remain close to the Great Spirit Show great respect for your fellow beings Work together for the benefit of all Mankind Give assistance and kindness wherever needed Do what you know to be right Look after the well-being of Mind and Body Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater Good Be truthful and honest at all times Take full responsibility for your actions ![]() I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him. ~Abraham Lincoln America is a tune. It must be sung together. ~Gerald Stanley Lee, Crowds We can't all be Washingtons, but we can all be patriots. ~Charles F. Browne What is the essence of America? Finding and maintaining that perfect, delicate balance between freedom "to" and freedom "from." ~Marilyn vos Savant, in Parade Patriotism... is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime. ~Adlai Stevenson A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle; and patriotism is loyalty to that principle. ~George William Curtis |
